Primary duties and responsibilities

The Content and Social Media Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of relevant content while tracking results and monitoring conversations on all forms of media. This position will develop and execute digital and social media campaigns, including the following:

• Develop and execute digital marketing and social media strategies
• Track and measure data through Facebook Business and Google Adwords and Google Analytics
• Research and Analyze Keywords, Trends, Topics Using SEO Tools such as Keyword Planner, Spyfoo, etc.
• Plan and update social media content calendars 
• Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize ads and posts
• Write, edit and publish content across digital and social channels 
• Provide strategic insight regarding copy approaches, calls to action, lead follow-up tactics and promotional campaigns
• Establish relationships with clients and respond to content update requests 
• Write clear and persuasive copy for blog articles, websites, digital ads, and social media posts

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent copywriting and editing proficiency
• Experience with MailChimp
• Ability to tell a great story with data-driven content
• Familiarity with creating brands and establishing the voice
• Basic HTML and WordPress knowledge
• Some knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to compile, assess and explain social media metrics and measurements 
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, public relations or a related field 
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with content creation and social media
